The raging water splashed around,
its menacing presence shaking the ground,
miles of land and coastlines of sand,
giving me all the joy that I could’ve ever had
But the cruel, malicious sea took that all away
as I try my best to keep my anger at bay.
The seagulls and birds still are chirping with joy,
don’t they see the atrocious ocean took away every girl and boy ?
Now as I sit, writing my rhyme,
I hope to see my family, one last time.
Hope is drowning in a pit of sorrow,
and I hope that I can survive tomorrow.
