Snow

by Harriet Lock aged 8

Gently, gently, the snow falls down,
all over the little town.
We skate around the slippery rink,
when the sky is as black as ink.
Making snowmen is so much fun,
laughing in the winter sun.
When the snow melts, it makes me sad,
but I know it will return, so that’s not bad.
I love winter even though it’s always cold,
I’ll still love it when I grow old.
