Seasons

by Anaya aged 9

March brings the buds of spring,
Birds awaken as they begin to sing.
The rays of sun get a little warmer,
With summer just around the corner.

The summer months are the hottest yet,
Paddling in pools and getting wet.
BBQ’s with friends and family
Late nights spent so casually.

Autumns pallet is oranges and reds,
It’s time for animals to make their beds.
The evenings are getting a little darker,
Waking in the mornings, a little bit harder.

Winter brings a chilly breeze,
Coughs, colds and a sneeze.
Cozy coats and fluffy gloves,
Evenings by the fire is what I love.
