but a poem is
not
just words that rhyme
or have a structure.

A poem is
an emotion
a story
a door.

A poem is like
a rock.
You can’t just force it
into existence,
into cookie cutters with
sharp edges.
You need to find them
and appreciate them.

A poem is a living moment
bound to paper.

Not just a bunch of rhyming words.
