My Teenage

by Akshra Thakur aged 15

I entered my teenage,
Locked in a small cage.
It’s a heaven they told me,
But turned out to be,
The cursed one they showed me.

Many cutbacks that hurt me,
I lay down my jersey,
Which wasn’t even worthy.

Between childhood and tomorrow,
Chasing who we are,
Watching our childhood,
Going far and far

Realising we’re not kids anymore.
