Emotions

by Bea Thomas aged 10

With you day and night, every year
emotions: sad, happy, joy and fear,
they fill you they do – all the above.
But you have never known love like I have.

The past with the sorrows and grips of depression
shadowing down, holding me now,
they grip us with love they grip us so harsh.
But you have never known fear like I have.

A tail of light
slowly fading out.
Not so bright
covering us with doubt.

Wings of an angel slowly burning
they fall like sparks of a bonfire
giving us hope making us cry.
But you have never known hate like I have.

The tears that fall, the smiles that shine;
they are us – they make us!
Oh how divine!
But you have never known joy like I have.

A tail of light,
slowly fading out.
Not so bright,
covering us in doubt.

You have never known love like I have.
You have never known fear like I have.
You have never known hate like I have.
You have never know joy like I have;
and
you
won’t…
Until you do!
