Autumn is coming

The orange leaves are falling

The leaves go flying

Blossoming flowers
So beautiful to see grow
Shame they cannot last

As You Look Around…

As you look around…

Hear the whistling grass sound.
Listen to the birds’ cry,
As you watch them fly.
The sky as blue as the sea,
You can see the breeze,
As it rustles the leaves in the trees.
We run home from the park,
Before it gets dark.
Like the birds,
Finding their nests,
Time for us all to rest.

Autumn

Walking through the forest
I see foxes burrowing their way into the earth,
making cozy dens.
I spot birds soaring through trees, feathers dazzling.
The trees sway in the wind,
beautiful leaves fall to the floor
looking like a colourful carpet
of reds, yellows, golds and browns.
Autumn is awesome, full of wonderful sights
bright frosty mornings and dark winter nights!

Love You

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
If you say you love me,
I will say I love you.

Mine Turtle

0
by Bradley Alen George Greig aged 12

There once was a mine turtle
who loved the Pokémon Squirtle
then he said Hello, in his funny little voice
Although he was like a little tortoise
he was almost as deadly as a grenade
His favourite drink was lemonade
his friends were in the min field
He even has a bomb for a shield
People, don’t step on him
’cause if you do – you’re pretty dim

Lions

Lions, lions are everywhere
you hear them roar.
Roaring in the rain,
rain in there mains having to shake it of,
speaking to each other
letting the whole world know
Scaring predators telling them to back of.
Well, we now know what a lion is
A predator .

I am Charlotte
Cat lover, cake baker, music maker.
The chatty sloth.
Word bender, phrase maestro.
I am a poet.

The Backyard Boy

0
by Mackenzie Close aged 11

One day in the 1960s,
A boy had two trampolines
In his backyard,
All day he played in his backyard.

Months went by, he still loved his garden,
He tells his friend, he says beg you pardon.
His parents are so proud,
Bounce, bounce, it’s so loud.

Years go by,
Will he stop wanting to play,
Will he take a break?
No is the answer
but what will break
are the trampolines…

The World As I See It

0
by Rosie Millington aged 12

I see people fighting for their homes,
I see dogs pouncing at their bones.
I see fields full of flowers,
I see forests showered with powders.

Why do I see people begging for money,
When the world should give it and call people “honey”
Why do I see ice melting away,
when snow is falling, why won’t it stay?

I like to see children running to school,
I like to see families jump in pools.
I like to see fish swimming in the sea,
Because that just shows that they are free.

I want to see everyone happy,
I want to see people not being snappy
I wish to see trees standing tall,
I want to see all the bullies fall.

But is that really what I will see?

I want to see all the bullies fall.
