Back to School

by Libby aged 14

“I don’t want to go!”
Screamed the boy,
Whilst watching everyone pass his window
“Please dad,
School makes me sad.”

“I want to see my friends
But can’t wait till the school day ends.
Summer is over, autumn is here
Back to school for a whole new year.”

Parallel Lives

by Abigail Mary-Alice O'Shaughnessy aged 14

For you, everything may be clear,
But for others the world is blear.
For you, this here is fun
But it isn’t for everyone.
For you, the word is funny,
But for some it’s not so sunny.
For you, the knowledge seems real,
But really the truth is unreal.
For you, nothing seems blurry,
Others can’t see past the worry.
For you, you may like things straight,
But really that’s not all the weight.
For you, the names an insult,
Which hurts others as a result.

People are kind
People are unique in there own way

People are competitive
People are creative
We are all the same in our own way

Some people like sport
Some people don’t
We are all different, no matter what anyone else says.

How Far Can I See?

0
by Toby Thompson aged 12

Miles and miles
Road after road
I can’t remember the beginning
I can’t see the end
Day after day
Hour after hour
It stretched out before me
For what seemed like forever
The endless dark surface
Burning so very hot
In the scorching sunlight
But I kept on going
For miles and miles
And road after road

When I Feel Trapped At School

0
by Jacob Walsh aged 12

I feel trapped, the gates hold me
I feel trapped, somebody help me
I feel trapped, the walls are closing in
I feel trapped, the chair straps me in
I feel trapped, the doors on the bus hold me
I feel trapped, one last gasp of freedom
