I Gazed Into the Mirror

by Elsie aged 12

I was standing in front
of the so called ‘mysterious mirror’
staring at myself.
When i could see myself no more,
I faded into a magical,
mysterious mist,
surrounding my faded feet on the floor.
The magic of the purple smoke lured me in so far,
it led me down the mysterious mirrors path,
my curiosity wouldn’t stop.
I was led through a forest,
with trees twisted and tall.
I was led past an upside-down-world waterfall,
when the mist faded
I was barricaded
by some spooky creatures.
I had nowhere to go,
I was filled with sorrow.
If I hadn’t gazed at myself for so long,
I might not have ended up in this mess.
If I hadn’t followed the mysterious mist,
I might not have been barricaded in.
I gazed into the mirror.
