Who Let the Words Out?

Who Let the Words Out? by Joshua Seigal (Bloomsbury)

If you’re looking for a book of poems aimed at junior school children (but suitable for teens and adults) that are funny and clever then this is for you. (Or your class.) It’s the cleverness I like. Joshua loves puns and wordplay as I do – but he rarely strays into the obvious. There are a few thoughtful poems here too. Joshua also introduces lots of words that many children may not know. As he says in his introduction – “I love collecting words, and while you read this book you can do the same: make a note of any words or phrases you don’t understand, and then look up their meanings online or in a dictionary.”
An excellent book.
