All Together Now by Michaela Morgan, illustrated by Nick Sharratt (Otter-Barry Books)

Michaela is one of my favourite writers and performers and this collection brings together some old favourites like The Fat Budgie (which you probably couldn’t write today as it’s sizeist) as well as some newer work. These include poems about famous women, such as Malala Yousafzai and Mary Anning, and lots of monster poems, which are always welcome, I think. It’s a great book for teachers with lots of joining in poems. Plus the super added bonus of most excellent illustrations from the iconic and world famous Nick Sharratt.
