Yesterday I Saw My Bedroom

by Sienna Botterill, Ben Hayes, Zak Johnson and Olivia Laws aged 10-11

Yesterday I saw my bedroom awakening
Alarm clocks yawned a piecing scream
Bed-frames groaned at the disturbance
Whilst rugs stretched across the floorboards
And books flew in the air

Yesterday I saw my bedroom devouring
Pillows stuffed themselves
Doors demolished lights
And windows chomped the air

Yesterday I saw my bedroom ecstatic
Beds bounced off the walls
Teddies partied on the wardrobe
T.V vomited flashing lights
and my bedroom exploded with noise

Yesterday I saw my bedroom seething
Drawers slammed shut
Whilst lamps aggressively turned on and off
And curtains blinded the windows

Yesterday I saw my bedroom exhausted
Duvets snuggled the mattress
Whilst clothes cuddled each other in the wardrobe
Desks slept against the walls
And blankets lay upon the bed edge
