Winter Wonderland

by Mahroosh Qasim aged 9

It snowed.
It snowed.
Joy fills the air!
The sound of happiness comes in our ears.
People making snowmen.
People having snowfights.
People sledging.
And there’s fun everywhere.
The crow jumping on the branch.
Bits of snow falling down.
Animals hibernate.
While people play.
Kids enjoy this.
Snow is their favourite thing.
It’s white and shiny.
The Earth covered in white.
If you’re in space.
You would see the Earth is white.
You’ll be so proud.
For the beautiful sight!

Love the crow jumping on the branch. Real life details in a poem help make the poem come alive.
