When I Went Out for a Walk

by Oliver Bowyer aged 7

When I went out for a walk one day
My mummy said, Don’t go away
So I went out in the breeze
Looking up at the birds in the trees
Singing so cheerfully to themselves
Dancing around like little elves
Then once the birds had fluttered away
I carried on my walk today
