War

by Kai Calvert aged 10

People sign up for war,
Some say two much blood on the floor,
Families cry,
As many die.

Guns in hands,
As sergeants make their plans,
You won’t be forgotten,
For a task that was rotten.

If you’re above,
There will still be love,
All laughter is forlorn,
As people are torn

People will remember,
On the 11th of November,
They will say night,
Knowing there will be more of a fight.
