The First World War started in 1914,
And was probably the worst that the world had ever seen.
You could ask the men that fought in the war what they saw. Did they see birds carrying messages across ‘No Man’s Land’ Or struggling soldiers fighting on the sand.
Did they see men gasping for air,
Or the opposition bombing without a care? Once you’ve finished asking these questions you might forget That these men died so that you could sleep without a fret. The message here is nice and clear
That you should stand up to what you think is right without a fear. I don’t think I need an amplifier to make myself heard
Because I would just sound absurd.
Now I’ve finished I hope you realize
That people fought in the war no matter what age or what size.
