The Two Bunnies

by Harshita Das aged 10 year

Once there was
One baby bunny
It thought it was adventurous
It thought it was funny

It rolled and rolled
And curled to a ball
It rolled down the hills
My word, wasn’t it a long fall

The bunny enjoyed itself
And it did that a lot
Even when its mother
Told it to not

Then after a few days
It started stealing the squirrel’s nuts
It started going in the hollow
Which the squirrel called huts

The bunny enjoyed itself
And it did that a lot
Even when its mother
Told it to not

Then the little bunny
Just ran away
It came out of hole
Into the beautiful day

He hopped around
Searching far and wide
It didn’t know where to go
For it had no tour guide

Then it saw a fox
Searching far and wide
When the bunny saw it
It ran away to hide

The fox wanted
A bite to eat
Maybe Bunny stew
Or Bunny meat

Then bunny hopped and hopped
And hopped ever so far away
No one has heard of it
Till this day
