Twinkly Twinkle

by Viktoria Mielcarek aged 8

Looking at the Christmas tree
While drinking a sweet cup of tea
What a very beautiful sight
Looking at the twinkling light
So golden sparkly is its stand
Even birds outside come to land
For this is a remarkable tree
Better than a cat, dog even a bee
The oh-so-shiny baubles and tinsel too
All for Everyone, all for You
Let’s have the celebration for Jesus is born
For next year… to have a lush lawn…

Lovely poem, Viktoria. But I think you should take another look at your last line. I can change it for you if you’d like. Talking about your lawn after all those lovely Christmas images? Other good last words you could try… gone, morn, dawn, horn…
