Vision, I use my eyes to see
All the world around me.
Centuries before; our ancestors past,
That beautiful world.
Those luscious green trees
And calm rivers flowing,
All the amazing animals
And insects were growing
The mesmerising dodo
All hunted and gone.
Extinct, where did it all go wrong ?
Now this world I see
All around me.
Pollution, an ever growing problem
Plastic wrappers, plastic bags,
Killing innocent sea life.
Many water species might go extinct
Because of this harmful mess.
We as humans some don’t care,
Others ? They try to help.
The Black Lives Matter campaign
Tries to work things out,
It sparks a world changing effect
On people all ages; all races.
Global warming, another complication
Factory and workhouse fumes
Melts icebergs and ice caps
In Antarctica causing penguins to deteriorate
Evil, illegal loggers cutting down trees in forests.
Tigers, cheetahs, pandas all in danger.
Covid 19 spreading everywhere.
Thousands dying everyday.
People not social distancing outside.
Some people wear masks all the time
And others just don’t consider
We humans want to go on holiday
But the covid boundaries say no.
Lockdown for 6 months
Young children asked why.
This is the world I see,
All around me…
And it needs to change.
