The World As I See It

by Rosie Millington aged 12

I see people fighting for their homes,
I see dogs pouncing at their bones.
I see fields full of flowers,
I see forests showered with powders.

Why do I see people begging for money,
When the world should give it and call people “honey”
Why do I see ice melting away,
when snow is falling, why won’t it stay?

I like to see children running to school,
I like to see families jump in pools.
I like to see fish swimming in the sea,
Because that just shows that they are free.

I want to see everyone happy,
I want to see people not being snappy
I wish to see trees standing tall,
I want to see all the bullies fall.

But is that really what I will see?

I want to see all the bullies fall.
