A bright star being born in endless space,
a Supernova fading out of view.
A proud creator notes her proper place,
atop a list of things wondrous and new.
Black holes incredible and amazing,
but black holes are not black in the slightest.
The black holes, very secretly blazing,
might just be the very ultra-brightest.
Far above, the galaxies will shimmer,
but in the centre, there’s infinite black.
Every star in the dark sky is glimmer,
but into the middle, there’s no way back.
The Universe is a wonderful thing,
but only the planets can hear it sing.
I like it. Good work, Violet.
