The Poem Seller

by Euan Wood aged 8

Come to my poem shop, I have them all!
Poems that tell feelings and poems that ROAR!
Poems that make breakfast for you and you all!
Poems that tell you you’ll always have a pal

I have poems that can fly and poems that hide,
Poems that creep up on you when you’re inside….
I sell you poems that make sunsets,
Poems that eat rice,
Poems that skate on ice,
I have poems that have mice,
And some that are really, quite nice.

If it’s a poem you need,
You’ve come to the right place,
All of them are here,
But the best so far,
Is the one the comes and gives you a hug.

Excellent poem, Euan. And do you know what would make it even better? Ending on a rhyme. A line after… “you’ve come to the right place.” It would round it off beautifully.
