The Night Full of Wonders

by Lucy Rogers-Atkinson aged 13

In summer’s embrace, where dreams are spun,
Beneath the blaze of a golden sun,
I wander through fields of emerald green,
Lost in lucid dreams, serene.

The sky, a canvas, vast and blue,
Where wisps of clouds drift gently through,
And every breeze, a whispered rhyme,
Carries me to another time.

In dreams, the world is soft and bright,
Bathed in the glow of amber light,
Where every step is light and free,
A dance with endless possibility.

Lucid dreams in summery haze,
Unfold in endless, winding ways,
Each moment vivid, clear, and pure,
A journey through a heart’s allure.

The laughter of a distant stream,
Echoes softly in my dream,
I drink it in with every breath,
A symphony of life and death.

The scent of blossoms in the air,
Twines with the sun’s warm, gentle glare,
And in this dream, so real, so clear,
I find your presence, ever near.

Your smile, a beacon in the night,
Guides me with its tender light,
In lucid dreams, I touch your hand,
And walk with you through summer’s land.

As day gives way to twilight’s glow,
The dreams within me ebb and flow,
In summery weather, dreams ignite,
A world of wonder, pure delight.
