Man and nature forever intertwined
Interdependent, internally inclined
Paper, wood, leaves
All once trees
Soon to be demolished
Forests entirely polished
The palm of our hands
Were once part of the land
Trees strict for greed
As Greta Thunberg must plead
Why is it that children see the pain
But adults just seek fame
God took 7 days
To make it perfect
As we use it
We overworked it
As the extinction of animals rise
Mankind refuses to comprise
As animals pound on the land,
Humankind won’t understand
The Earth is begging us
From the bottom of her heart
To stop our menace
And to play a part
We can’t seem to control our rage
Yet we must stop climate change
Time is being wasted on politics and war
You’re hurting the environment even more
Atomic bombs
Missile ships
Helicopters
Beating whips
The Earth is crying for her people
The people that are hiding under their greed, their violence
Smothered in their disturbing silence
