The Black Cat

by Emmie Kent aged 11

The black cat was walking down the stair
The wall slightly brushing his silky hair
His paws glided down little and fair
While his fierce little claws screamed danger beware

The cat’s long silky tail gently flicked the wall
His steady arched back looking ever so tall
He searched for food, he never felt full
While the little cats posture said clearly I rule

The cat stretched out his furry black toes
And slowly twitched his button nose
His eyes glowed red just like a rose
And when the door is open out he goes

His tiny fluffy ears were flat like a pancake
He ran so fast you could hear the floor shake
His fur was so perfect it could have been fake
And he hungrily tucked in to his big juicy steak
