Tell Tale Tilly

by Rose Tomlinson aged 6

Tell Tale Tilly said
I rode on a seahorse and
found a pot of gold.
I galloped on a unicorn
and found what it was
like in days of old.
She told that to Mandy
who told it to Sandy
who told it to Lily who
told it to the boy next door
and he told it to teacher
and teacher said
what a funny tale
Have you heard it, Tilly?

What a lovely poem, Rose. Well done! I’ve changed the words round for you. It should be Tell Tale. Because a tell tale is someone who tells tales.
