Teacher’s Staffroom

by Mayowa aged 10

Have you ever wondered what is in the teacher’s staffroom,
if they’re sneaking in chocolate bars or dancing with a broom,
well hurry, the door is open, let’s take a peek.

Mrs Ford is on duty but she’s fast asleep,
there’s a key on the table what is it for?
Maybe it’s for the lock on that cupboard door,
looking inside treats galore,
wait, is that Tom’s sweet box,
the one he was crying for?

I can hear noises, hide behind the door,
the teacher’s cry, “It’s lunchtime,
this is what we’ve been waiting for.”
Sneak quietly out
behind the teachers’ backs

You had better run
Mrs Ford is about to wake up.
