Taking a Penalty

by Cian Brackley aged 10

The ball is ready and on the ground,
Inside me my heart pounds.
The whistle blows,
My legs are like jelly,
It looks so much easier on the telly.
I start running up to take the kick,
My stomach jumps,
I feel sick.
The goalie dives,
And tries to reach it,
But it goes in the top corner.
Goooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllll!!!
