Summertime

by Sherdil Asif aged 9

Aah,
I remember the old days when it was summer,
I ate yummy juicy mangos and sour strawberries,
I played in the rain,
I played in my open wide porch,
I used to turn on the cooling air conditioner,
I miss the light and slight breeze,
I hope summer comes very soon.

Hey Sherdil well done! I just wrote this poem for you as a gift 😃 keep writing.

Summer has its beauty underlying heat of day
That pleasingly follows chill winds blowing free in night
I would never have enjoyed and lived sun rays,
If burning of sun never healed in campsite
Under open sky bestowing calm upon me
N’ taking stress away along side of sea
