Summer’s Day

by Jaxon Hornett aged 7

Shall I compare you to a summers day?
Thou art more lovely than a flower blooming in the sunlight.
Your eyes are like a light blue sea shimmering across the waves.
Your skin is silky smooth and lovely.
You are more colourful than the universe.
Your laugh is like a bird chirping to its mother.
Your hair is like golden silk, dripping down your back.
My heart is pumping for you like a racing car driving towards you.
