States Of Matter

by Veda Dharwar aged 10

Everything, everything is made of matter,
Even the glass that your sister’s about to shatter.

Clear water, wafting air and bulk heavyweight masses,
All separated into three groups, solids, liquids, gases.

Solids, solids with particles tightly packed together,
An example of solids are scented bunches of heather.

Liquids have slightly weaker atom bonds,
An example of liquids is water in a pond.

And finally, the airy ones, floating through the air
the gases, with atoms scattered everywhere.

Know that you are knowledgeable of states of matter,
Why not ask your science teacher if your grades might get better.
