Society

by George Bate aged 15

Inside the modern world,
The pinnacle of society
Is a suit and clean shave
To lead to high class authority

Yet camouflaged uniform,
Who saw brothers fall and bleed
Stay left in squalor and dirt
Under the boot of the men in tweed

The public are refused
Employment and currency
For having inked skin
Or expressing their sexuality

So reclaim your creative right
From the silver spoons and ivory tower
To express the truth and spread it wide
And watch the affluent cower
