Sat upon a rainbow
Watching the cloud traffic from up high
A small green dwarf-like gnome
Who lives up in the sky

March 17th
The little man jumps down to Earth
Visiting good parents
To let them know their worth

How they look after their kids
And understand their rights
From adoption and birth to college
and missing warm goodnights

The little man the leprechaun
Dresses up in a suit of green
To honour the parents and excite the kids
With a sort of cocoa bean

The chocolate coins are eaten
Now back to the rainbow
The little man sits on the coloured arch
To look at cloud traffic down below
