Refurbishing a Centipede’s Home

by Erin Byrne aged 10

Well for starters,
finding the right sized bed
is often tricky.
You need leg room
and for a centipede,
that means lots of space.
I don’t mean to
be stereotypical,
but an awful lot
of my customers
have been very fussy
when it comes to picking
wallpaper.
It’s always either
too bright,
or too dark,
or too much
like Spider’s house.
Storage is another problem.
Shoes especially.
They’ve got so many of them you see,
but when you’ve found
the right rack,
you just know.
Finally, the flooring,
laminate is not
the best idea
for customers
with lots of legs,
neither is marble
for a matter of fact.
The perfect solution
is carpet,
a nice calm
and serene
colour preferably.
Just so they don’t feel rushed.
To top it off
you could always add
in that touch
of luxury,
a personalised foot spa,
made to fit.
