The Red Poppy

by Theo Wray aged 6

I am a badge to not win
I am a badge to think about
I am not a paper statue
I am not a piece of garbage
I am not what you think I am

But I am a badge to respect
I am to remember
I am someone who was in the war
I am a part of the country
I am just everything to the world

My goodness me, where did such understanding, depth of thought and sensitivity come from a six year old boy.
