I hop into bed
And eagerly grab a random book.
Opening a book
Is like opening a portal
To another world
Full of mystery
For me.
I read the first word
Already I feel I’m there.
I can feel the exciting adventure
On the tip of my tongue.
I read some more,
Getting more engaged and lost
Into the story.
As I begin to finish,
Sadness overcomes me,
I wish I could read more
Of that story.
But another great day
Of enthusiasm awaits me.
Reading is everything
For me!
