I Ran

by Harshita Das aged 10

I ran
I ran and ran
I ran here and there
I wasn’t running from a lion
I wasn’t running from a bear

But still I ran for my life
I ran, so no one could keep pace
I wasn’t running in a marathon
I wasn’t running in a race

I was running along the street
Into the forest and way ahead
And on the way I stopped at the baker’s
To get some cake and bread

Then I stopped at the grocer’s
To buy a fruit or two
And some eggs
I bought a few

Then I ran and ran
And finally reached where I wanted to go
Now you know how to get your errands done in a minute
You should try it too!!!!
