Prize Winner

My pet parrot dug out a slug
And laid it lovingly on my rug,
Called me to eat it with a tug of its beak,
When I saw it, I screamed, Eeeek!
I said, ” Oh, you silly bird!
This is yours, for me it’s rice and curd.”

My pet dog was scraping under a log,
Took out a paw full of ants,,
And placed them lovingly on my pants,
I said, “Oh, you silly Pug,
Only you can eat up what you dug up!”

My pet cat, while on her daily squirm,
Found a big juicy earthworm.
With a loving Miaow,
Beckoned me to eat this chow,
I said,”Oh, you silly kitty,
Worms can be your feed,
Of them, I have no need!

My pets love me so, they always shower me with bugs,
I gather them each day and give them kisses and hugs!
