Perfect Hieroglyphics

by Natalia Coiro aged 16

You draw little pictures,
Scratching the poor wall.
Covering tall structures
Like it’s nothing at all.

How is it that all could draw
When all I do is tremble?
Hand shaking as I attempt to soar.
Words I can’t assemble.

Yet I must admit,
The beauty held in each letter,
Even though I cannot commit,
Hieroglyphics is so much better.
