Paintings

by Lyra Zborowski aged 10

I see the view,
I was down there on the ground,
Now I’m on the peak of the mountain.

I can see the trees,
Whispering away mysteriously.
The water trickles next to me.

How beautiful this all is,
Almost like a painting,
Each detail took so much time and care.

Very good. When you’re writing a poem, or when you’ve finished it, think about its shape. I think this works well as three lines of three.
