What is Purple?

0
by Claudia Fernandez aged 7 almost 8

Purple is a blanket that
covers my eyes,
when the the sunset appears.
Purple is a flower dancing,
when the wind pushes her calmly
as a teddy bear.
Purple is a tasty grape,
that explodes in my mouth
Purple is a beautiful perfume
that people put on their hair
when they go out.

Pink

by Adriana aged 7

Pink is a flower that shines in the sun
and sleeps during the night.

When the sun shines
a great flower light
reflects a dolphin swimming
in the night .

When the sun comes
the flower sings and
plays in the grass.

When I look up at the bright night
it reminds me
of a flower
that shimmers in the moonlight.

Fancy Dress

0
by Harshita Das aged 10

There’s a fancy dress competition tomorrow
And I can hardly wait
I don’t know what I’m going to dress as
But I know it’s going to be great

What should I dress as?
Should I dress as a pig?
I can’t dress as a giant
For I’m not THAT big

I could be a magician
Or a joker and try to be funny
I could be a rabbit
Or even better, a bunny

I could be Snow White
Or a fairy like Tinkerbell
And guess what I chose
Can you tell?

I chose to have rabbit ears
And a magician’s wand in my hand
Tinkerbell wings
And a Ben10’s band

I decided to be as white as snow
I had a pig’s tail
And a giant’s toe
With a giant’s nail

That’s really all it takes
To make a costume nice
And that costume was epic
I mean, it won me first prize

I Always Win

0
by Harshita Das aged 10

I always win
When it comes to arguments
I always win as you can see
Unless it’s my mum
Or a little baby

Unless it’s a ten year old
I’ll win alright
And with old people
I just don’t like to fight

Unless you bring a young and serious business man
Or a teenager or two
So don’t make an argument with me
Because I’m sure I can beat you!!!

A Poem on Clothes

0
by Harshita Das aged 10

So I know I just wrote the poem “fancy dress”
And this is a poem on clothes too
But still, no one minds a clothes poem
Or in this case, a few

So I’m going to start off with
“Clothes are fun to wear”
And then I’ll say
“Jeans cause no wear and tear”

Umm I don’t know what I’ll do next
Maybe “Clothes are fun”
Or maybe that’ll sound weird
How about “I’d like a cloth, I’d like one”

Hmm that sounds about right
I think I’m done
Wow I loved this
Making a poem on making a poem was fun!

My Dream House

0
by Euodea Lee aged 11

My dream house will have 2,000 floors
with beautiful bells around every door.
My dream house will have soft white beds
with pink bedspreads.
My family, me and my elders
will live in it with many helpers.
I will get the best cook
and lots of books.
My dream house will have silver chairs
and soft teddy bears.
How I wish that my dream house will pop out
at this moment and there is no doubt.

Poor Cat

There is a cat
trying to catch a rat,
but the rat ran away.
So the cat sat on its hat.
