In the class there is teacher
The teacher is cool, she is twenty two
She is so cool
She can sing and dance, she is such fun
In the class there are kids, they like to yell, yell
When the teacher teaches she has to yell
The class is so cool and all the people in it
Poems
The Wedding
We go to the wedding,
We have fun,
We dance, and sing along,
We eat food, climb up the stage
To see the groom and the bride shine,
We see every one of our relatives,
We all laugh, talk and cheer,
There are different songs and lights,
And everything we want,
After all it is the wedding tonight!
Pokémon Battle
I was walking down the street when I heard a call,
It sounded like it came from the mall,
When I soon found it right in a hall,
A kid out know gave me a ball,
It had a button and he told me to push it,
But instead I hit it,
Soon a little turtle that was blue,
He also stood on two,
Next he sent out a little dragon like thing,
He told me they were Pokémon staters that must be,
I know what they do I play the video game,
So it had a battle of fame,
Then my little friend was mine,
But I told him to dig but he made a mine,
I took he home after the fight,
My mom had a fright,
I took him to a lab,
Which was a home for him,
So was on my way,
But then I woke up.
Classroom Noise
The paper planes fly over you,
A swish as a note flies over your head,
Whispering to one another,
‘I don’t get it, do you?’ they said.
All these things you hear
as you take a stab at the challenge,
but you’re the only one.
One mumbles to another,
And then they ask the teacher,
One boy says he has an idea,
Then a friend asks to feature.
All these things you hear
as you bury your head in your hands,
willing it to be silent.
Finally people start to settle,
Still fidgeting, but better,
Murmurs from other classes,
Sure don’t help when you’re trying to write a newsletter!
All these things you hear
as you start to finish up,
the room is finally quiet.
An Open Book
An open book, a new world,
A new perspective, beyond my eyes unfurled.
An atmosphere of fear and terror,
A story of hate and dispair,
The planes, they fly over; the pathway of destruction,
As they are lured to death’s own lair.
On the outside there’s joyfulness,
But on the inside there’s fear,
We know you tremble like many others,
But please start wrong my dear.
They call you: “Is daddy back?”
And you’ll gulp and wipe your tears,
You really want to tell them,
But you’re scared it’ll haunt their dreams.
A closed book, a lesson learnt,
It’ll change you as a person, make you realise the hurt.
Favourite Words
Who said I had to have one word,
Not two or three or five?
These words that I have chosen,
Just make me wanna jive!
There’s kurfuffle and kerplunk,
Apricot and dunk.
And then there’s doala?
Okay, I made that up!
I need a word to replace doala,
It sounds a bit like koala?
But no… I want something else,
Ooh! I know… BANANA!
We Must Remember
The planes are flying,
The guns are shooting,
Conflict is roaring,
And air raids are hooting.
A dangerous world,
Is ours to hold,
Some day for peace,
But others won’t be told.
We need to remember,
Those who gave their lives,
To give them our thank yous,
Because peace was the prize.
Time Stood Lifeless
All across the land,
Time stood lifeless,
All for that one man,
He stood alone.
Alone, he was on the bench,
Planning his next escape,
This man was a criminal,
He was being chased.
Charges? He had many,
Plenty held against him,
He’s a mastermind – don’t be tricked,
DANGER! Don’t go closer.
All across the land,
Time stood lifeless,
All for that one man,
But someone came to join him…
The Rollercoaster
When the air is right,
And the screams are ringing,
The rip will create,
Onto the crate you’ll be clinging.
On that rollercoaster there,
You’ll be in for a scare,
You’ll be doing far away,
I’ve warned you: “Beware”.
That rip is a portal,
To a parallel world,
Once you have entered,
Your terrors unfurled.
Isolation from joy,
Just sadness and fear,
A desolate land,
No-one is here.
