Poems
Wriggle and Crawl
Insects are small
don’t be scared of them at all
they will be scared of you even more
because you are big and tall
Some are skinny
some are small
some are creepy scary balls
some are fat and funny
Little insects are really small
like jelly beans
Make a Change
Make a change
Twigs snap as windows break.
Hope is buried as greed has revenge.
Smiles are rare, as sneers are common.
Air is tight, as smoke wafts.
What does it mean?
It means that…
Fire is burning, as soil is crumbling.
Ice is melting, as rays come plummeting.
Plastic death wishes are dumped, as precious life gets eaten.
What do we do?
We will…
Express opinions, as word gets out.
Look forward, as the woods get spared.
Stop grey air, as our ice is solid.
Be aware, as fauna let live.
We will make a change, as that is why we are here.
Nicky and Bicky
Nicky is the color of a nut
and Bicky is the color of a biscuit,
sometimes I’m tempted to say
“Oh come you mutts!”
because they sometimes run away
and are not afraid to risk it.
Nicky is very small and Bicky is very BIG,
before they lost most of their fur
it looked like they were wearing wigs!
Because they’re really fluffy,
I like to stroke their ears,
and when I go to town,
I see they have lots of piers,
but when they start to try and speak,
it’s so annoying
it feels like it goes on for weeks!!!
All About Me
I love to ride my Heelys
I love to listen to songs
I can’t live without my laptop
The Birds and Animals
The birds are smiling,
The flowers are as happy as the sun,
The flowers drink water,
The birds eat food,
The birds are happy as they fly,
The tree tops are hanging with a sigh,
The animals make sounds,
Happy I am to see the animals dancing,
The animals are soft and cute as a pie.
A Turtle
There was a little turtle
he lived in a box
he swam in puddles
and he climbed on rocks
He snapped at a mussel
and he snapped at a flea,
he snapped at a minnow
and he snapped at me.
He caught the mussel
and he caught the flea,
he caught the minnow
but he didn’t catch me
