My Pet Dog

My pet dog is the best
He can do tricks
He can shake hands
He can fetch sticks

He can jump through fire loops
He can dance a jig
He can put on a perfect disguise
With a beautiful dress and wig

He knows his counting
Backwords too!
I mean dogs like that
Are only a few

It knows his alphabet
And knows how to spell
He also knows
How to ring a bell!

My dog can ride a horse
And make it go fast and slow
My dog can use a sword
And it can attack with a bow!

My dog is the cleverest in the world
And he COULD do those tricks
If I hadn’t lost him in the forest
Playing fetch with sticks

My Awesome Granny

My awesome granny
I have a granny
Who is so cool
When she was small
She never went to school

She does many tricks
Like kick-flips and such
She really is the best
And I like her very much

She has a ton of pets
Like dogs monkeys and cats
She also loves clothing
For she has a lot of cowboy hats

She’s the coolest
Don’t ask me how she does her tricks
For everytime she walks
She has to use a walking stick!!!

Nappies

by Ben aged ?

Nappies are plushy and fluffy
Nappies are squishy and soft
Nappies are white and big
Nappies are miniature clouds

You wear them in the shower
and when your asleep in bed
You wear them on your bottom
Don’t wear them on your head!

Oh Dear, Oh My!

Oh dear, oh my,
My brother just dropped the pie,
That was for the wedding on the 4th of July,
Oh dear, oh my!

Oh dear, oh my,
How is the water dry?
This is a mess,
Now my brother is in a dress!

Oh dear, oh my,
Now my sister turned into a guy,
Well at least I am fine,
Wait, no I’m not,
oh dear, oh my!

Oh dear, oh my,
My mother doesn’t try
To fix this but she does
Get messed up with mud!

What is happening?
Did you hear that bong!
Everything is going wrong,
Oh dear, oh my!

The Talking Dog

by Mason Jacques aged 10

My friend has a talking dog
That likes to sit on a log.
When he gets a bone that’s new
All he does is chew, chew, chew.

He likes to talk about school,
But then sometimes he says school isn’t cool,
He goes to school everyday,
But not on the 20th of May.

He likes to play Hide and Seek,
But sometimes he thinks we peek.
He really likes to eat apple pie,
But not on the 4th of July

He likes to give donations
But not ones to different nations.
This talking is crazy but he finally stopped.
Wait, never mind now – he just talked and hopped.

Touch

by Ananya Wadhwa aged 14

Moonlit illusions,
I felt the moon beams cascade
And envelope me,
Delicious, creamy, exhilarating
And yet, somehow they devastated me.
I watched the silky clouds
Cover the polished moon,
Like a gentle wedding veil
As you lingered around me.
I pushed,
And fell,
Blood trickled down my lips,
Dangled from my eyelashes,
Yet, you pinned me down,
And, shook me, rasping,
I felt your hot, stinky breath.

And so therefore, I must now I muster up the courage
To ask you,
Why, oh why do you yearn for a goblet of me
On your table
When you have four wives who’ve given you
Flushed, beautiful children?
Why do you yearn for a goblet of me
To froth beside your bread?

Savannah and the Banana

by Savannah Tyler aged 10

There was a girl named Savannah
She ate a talking banana
When she went for a walk
And her stomach started to talk

Everyone thought this was weird
Even the man with the beard
She climbed a hill and at the top
Her stomach decided to stop

And ever since then
She never ate a banana again!

with a
sparkling

I am so lucky.
because I am special.

The Monster

by Anish Ruda aged 10

A round ball bounced
a hungry tiger pounced
Everyone was shocked
when the boat rocked

It was scary
and the monster was hairy
but it was friendly.
