I Am Sad

by Hareen Toor aged 7

I am sad
I am blue
but I think we
should be nice too
so let’s have joy
and play with toys
and have a party
with our voice.

by Jamelia aged 8

I have two sisters
I have two sisters
one of them is nice
one of them is rude
the rude one says dude
the nice one says dice
but am I rude or nice?

Shopping Moster

by Tazkia Dokrat aged 8

Just like aliens
People argue,
If they really are real
Or just a fake silly myth.
I have to say
They must exist
Or how would I know
About the Shopping Monster?
He’s big and blue
And lives at White Rose.
You might have seen him
Strolling about.
He’s my friend
And gives me vouchers,
For my favourite shops.
I don’t know his name
So for now,
I just call him…
Oh yes…
Jim.

Me and My Mum

My mum is so sweet
so kind
so lovely
so caring

But I’m the one
who’s a little bit
naughty

The Lost Dog

0
by Dylan Hollister aged 7

Once there was a little dog who got stuck inside a log,
and got lost inside the woods.
He met a porcupine and now he’s feeling fine,
and now it is the END and he’s found a little friend.
I hope you come back soon
I hope you come back soon.

An Alien

Every person has an opinion,
Especially for aliens
Some say they were never real
I certainly disagree!
Aliens are cool
Aliens are awesome
But they’re certainly not
Things that don’t exist.
I have a vision
Of an alien.
He has green skin
That oozes everywhere
He wears a tux
And goes two
But worst of all
He eats rabbit poop soup!

Choco-late

by Tyrone aged 8

Chocolate chocolate how are you made?
I’m squished and squished
and squoshed and squoshed
and shaked and shaked
and baked and baked.
Mr. Willie Wonka tried my food
He said OH WOW THAT’S GOOD A TEE GOOD!!!
Then we sent it back to England
and that’s how choco-late is MADE!!!!

Space

by Sophie Smith aged 8

Out of space
I can see comets
And meteors .
On the moon I can see craters.
Standing on Saturn it is cold.
On Jupiter the planet is ice cold.
I’m sitting on the sun even though
I am boiling hot all around.

A Day Nearer

I would rather be somewhere alone with you
Instead of praying you’re feeling like I do…

The White Jelly Bean

1
by Oscar Mather aged 10

A poem about cerebral palsy

I am a white twisted jelly bean.
All the rainbow coloured jelly beans make fun of me
Because I look different, I wish they would leave me be
I wish my shape was unseen.

White jelly beans have no colour
White jelly bean doesn’t get awards
Coloured jelly beans have opened doors
Can I be any duller?

Inside I’m a BLUE jelly bean
Outside all broken and white
Even if I try with all my might
Nothing I do makes me seen.

If someone could see me as bright and blue
Not white and dull and broken
Hear me like I have spoken
Would make me feel brand new.
