Sharp teeth
Slapping tail
Round spines
Burning fire
Scraping claws
Bony wings

The Beach

by Skyler Verhart aged 10

The sun is setting
and the seagulls are soaring
over the starfish and squid.
The sky is getting dark.
Better swim away from the shark.

High School

by Jaime-leigh aged 11

High school, what a misery,
I hope I can get all the help I can get,
but I’m losing my best friend summer,
and nothing will keep her here.
Trust me, I’ve tried

Charlie
the one I love,
he makes me laugh.
Charlie the one I love,
and I want him till I die.
Charlie
the one I love

My Boyfriend

0
by Jamie-leigh aged 11

My boyfriend trying too open my diary,
It took him a while but he managed it,
and he looked though it.
God, did I walk away from him.
I slammed the door.
He came behind me
and hugged me sorry.
God, my boyfriend is annoying.

Lee

There was someone
Known famously as Lee
He was extremely funny
As you are to see

He’d wear his shirt upside down
Have an umbrella for a hat
And take the balloon
And start hitting it with a bat

Then he’d take the table cloth
And wear it as a cloth
And take bows and frills
And put a sweet little froth

He’d rather take paper
Then noodles or ice-cream
And apparently being sick
Gives him a lot of beam

Then he’d be dancing
A tap dance, no one’s ever heard
And sometimes, the stupidest boy in the class
Pretend to be a nerd

Everyone likes him, everyone loves him
He makes life lovely at school
As long as you’re not the teacher
Or you’d feel like a complete fool

Spring Poem

0
by Maddie aged 10

Spring is a season that everybody loves
as the bird flaps its wings in the sky above.
Flowers start to come out and the hedgehogs are about.
The deer stalk the hedges in the early morning mist.
The sun is shining, everybody is laying on the golden, sparkling sand,
everyone is outside playing and having fun
and as time goes by it’s soon time to say goodbye.
R for roses,
L for lily,
D for daisies,
B for bluebells,
D for daffodils and
L for leaves that are slowly appearing on the fresh green trees!

Ugly!?

0
by Kelsey Wellard aged 12

I am here today
I will never go away
stay with me
and if you do
I will too
True love
that’s all I need
my friend is pretty
she has got all the boys on her tail
all I want is one
a one to love
maybe I don’t have one
because I am ugly
maybe they don’t like me
His name I don’t know
as I have only just met him
but all I know is that I love him
and he doesn’t love me back
Please help
give me advice
what should I do?
what should I say?
all I want to know is
will you give me advice?????

My World of Never-ending Downpour

0
by Venus Chaudhry aged 11

My world of gloom
where flowers never bloom
a place of grey
just grey everyday

the sky is a mist
and the trees are in a twist
the rain is forever pouring
roaring and roaring and roaring

Yet in this world of never-ending downpour

where the world is all gloom
and the flowers never bloom

and the rain is forever pouring
roaring and roaring and roaring

there is a tree

yes, one simple tree

but this tree is what shelters me
from my world of never-ending downpour

Dance

by Kiera Garrett aged 10

get up and groove
but I think I can improve
let’s have a laugh
and on my behalf
have a little jig
but it might be a bit big
so get up and groove
I will play it smooth
