St. Michael’s Mead

by Charlie E aged 11

St. Michael’s Mead
a Mead with heart,
waiting to help people
make a new start.

At the very centre
trees hold hands,
guarding a monument
like the king’s top man.

The sky’s clouds were muddled,
waiting to be solved
by the puzzled trees
who were many years old.

All About Animals

0
by Nifemi aged 8

Zebras are black and white,
owls are always right.
Giraffes are tall,
mice are small.
Cheetahs are fast,
hippos come last
Elephants are big,
a stick animal looks like a twig.
That’s what I know about animals.
Oh… and camels have humps
that look like massive bumps.
That’s all I know about animals.

Green leaves shadows dance
Sunshine blinds curious eyes
Dripping popsicle

Watching London

0
by Robert aged 11

The London Eye
Scours the darkness
Like a guard.

Canary Wharf
Howls to the moon
Like an alarm
Other buildings listen intently.

Parliament
Admires himself
In the reflection of the Thames
Museums frown upon his vanity.

The sun rises over the Shard
Staring straight through it
As if it were a magnifying glass.

A Day in London

0
by Rebecca aged 11

The London Eye
Keeps watch over London,
gleaming like a star
to the whole of the city.

The River Thames vanishes,
as darkness invades the city.

The clock tower, waiting to chime midnight;
buildings get ready for an oncoming day.

Westminster Bridge
relaxes as London dies down,
fading into the landscape.

Every Day in London

by Mollie aged 11

Big Ben
gracefully sings
to the River Thames.

The London Eye
gazes across the whole of London
seeing what wonder
would come next.

Westminster Bridge
arches its back,
in the night about to turn black.

The River Thames
washes itself
swimming away to the sound of London.

Midnight London

0
by Harry aged 11

The London Eye
Dancing in the moonlight
Acting as a security camera
Over the Thames.

The spokes fed up of
Following the floating chariots.

Big Ben calling out,
Trying to attract people
From the London Eye.

Tourists
Forcing their Polaroid’s to blink,
Printing out their surroundings.

The sun tiptoes away
Suddenly silence.

The London Night

by Henry aged 11

Big Ben,
Singing over the houses
Of parliament.

The London Eye,
Scouring over its
Pride land.

The 02 Arena cheering
Whilst crowds go wild
Over its glory.

The sky’s lit up
With joy from families,
Enjoying their city.

Streets sit patiently,
Waiting for dawn.

Westminster Bridge,
Flowing with bursting queues
For the capital city

Queen Elizabeth Tower,
Loving the company
Of Big Ben

The Millennium Wheel

by Lauren aged 11

The Millennium Wheel
twirls over
the audience
of the city.

It dances brightly-
filling the city
with colour and light.

The Thames watches,
gazing in amazement.

The colour,
the light,
brings happiness
filling our hearts with joy.

Cloud Me

by Jaedon Medley aged 12

everyone has a cloud me,
you know, that person above the trees!

he sits there and makes you,
(when you feel blue)

feel better as a person
so there’s no need to be cursin’

so when you get to your gcse,
walk out successfully.

get a job that you like,
facetime your friends on skype,

when you go home you will see,
that you had a little help from cloud me. 😉
