When I was one,
I had just begun…
Poems
One Day Later
One day later
I’ll go to the park.
One day later
I’ll wear shorts.
One day later
I’ll stay quite.
One day later
I’ll see you later,
GOODBYE.
The Grave
I look down, a creepy place
A tombstone, a grave
To Rick, my friend
And a soldier, so daring and brave
Tears roll down my cheek
My face gets wet, before I realize
But I know not to mourn
For mourning will cause our life to demise
Still I can’t help but wonder
What’d happen, if he hadn’t gone?
Would he be here?
With his smile and his arms so strong?
Oh, to Ricky, you have a place in my heart
I’ll always miss you
Rest in peace Rick
I Look Ahead
I look ahead
As a stream flows by
Washing my feet
Singing its lullaby
I look ahead
To the butterflies, up and down
Sleeping on flowers
All smiles no frowns
I look ahead
Trees whistling sweet
Bearing with fruits
Hung down, for us to eat
As I walk across
As I look ahead
I see where my life comes from
The water, air and bread
My Crazy Dog
Once I decided to take my dog
Out for a little walk
Little did I know his behaviour
Would kill me of shock
One nick, and his collar was out
One flick and he was running about
He ran across the streets
Jumping up and down
Running across fleets
Forcing me to frown
Stole some meat from the butcher
For which I had to pay
Scaring the herd and horses
Making them go cray-cray
One jump, he was ahead of the crowd
One hop, everyone was complaining out loud
For which seemed like hours
He came with a wag and a lick
After all he looked across countries and towers
To look for that fetch stick!!
On Another Planet
When I was just three
My mum said to me
Hey Kyle, come and tell me
What you want be.
Me ?? Me?
A spaceman I’ll be
I’ll fly up to the sky
It’s ever so high,
In a hot air balloon
I can sleep on the moon
Come back on a rocket
With stars in my pocket.
Don’t worry, Mum
I’ll be home soon
It’s a Lie
Once there was a guy called Guy
Who told a lie
Then the guy
Who told the lie
Told it one more time
There was another guy
Who witnessed the lie
Who said:
That’s a lie, Mr. Guy
