Elves are very silly just like me, Lilly
They sit on a shelf just like an elf
They love Santa and they have a bit of banter
Poems
Slushy Snow
Santa is on his way
Nobody is upset when snow comes
Over the clouds and faraway
When snow comes children play
Do You Believe in Santa?
Do you think Santa is real?
Santa is real, everyone gets
Presents
So if you don’t
Believe that means you don’t
Get any presents
Poems
Hello there, my name is rose
and this is today’s poem
all about poems.
A powerful poem
makes you laugh so hard
you just want to show him
his name is Tim.
Tim is really slim
like thin string,
When it goes ping, ding,
so bye and sorry, you are it
I’m hiding in the playball pit!
Christmas
A freezing night
Frost on the window
Snow on the doorstep
Icicles hanging down
The cold is harsh and bitter
But something about that night
Seems warm
And friendly
As if it can’t control how it looks
But tries its hardest
To make the cold seem beautiful
The grass is white
A glistening furry coat
Is laid on the streets
The snow on trees
Glitters at the slightest light
From the houses
People singing and exclaiming merrily
A nice conical tree
On the steps
And I smile
As I know
That it is Christmas
My Chocolate World
I will put in my chocolate world
Lots of chocolate hills as high as mount Fuji
A chocolate sea like any other sea
Lots of chocolate castles and villages
to represent me.
I will put in my chocolate world
A farm which will have chocolate
sheep, ducks, cows and worms.
A forest which will have chocolate
lions, tigers, snakes and spiders.
I will put in my chocolate world
chocolate hope, luck, goodness
and bravery geysers.
My chocolate world is made of
The best dark and light chocolate
in the whole world and it is used
for barriers and everything else
The Elf on the Shelf
The elf on the shelf is cheeky,
he is also very sneaky,
he comes at Christmas time,
he makes us all stand in line.
Although he just sits there
he has got real hair.
His jacket is red
and he makes a mess in dad’s shed.
