About Me

by Elsie aged 12

I am Elsie,
I love to write,
I don’t like to fight,
I love to draw and paint,
I play the flute,
I play the tin whistle,
I hate getting pricked by thistles,
I am home educated,
I love to write poetry,
And put my poems on the Poetry Zone!

Statue

by Pragun aged 12

As it becomes evening,
I walk on the footpath
That is to the side of
The road. The world

Is still and silent.
You hear no sound.
Then, suddenly,
‘Statue!’ My friend

Shouts from behind
My back as loud as
A lion roars. He doesn’t
Tell me to stop being

A statue. So, for the
Rest of the evening,
I am stuck in one
Place, being a statue.

If You Don’t Like…

If you don’t like chocolate
You can be my friend,
And I can eat it all instead!

If you don’t like cheese
Bring it to my house,
And I can feed it to my mouse.

If you don’t like my poem
You could write your own.

No Time To Write A Poem!

by Levi aged 8

I haven’t got time
To write a rhyme!
I really have to be going.
I’ll say “Goodbye.”
I have to fly!
No time to write a poem! 🙁

A chicken zone is a person who writes about chicken
but sometimes doesn’t listen to the instructions
but they still like chicken.
Do you like chicken?

What Am I?

I grow on trees but I’m not a leaf
I mixed my colours, yellow and red
I am mostly found in an orchard
I provides juice for you
I hides seeds too
I can cure you with my juice
What am I?
I’m…

an orange!

They are:

Sleep walkers
Fruits lovers
Treats sharers (well, sometimes!)
Kind helpers
Loud shouters
Mistake makers
Party planners
Secret sharers
Kind comforters
Perfect makers
Work helpers
Prize receivers
I hope our friendship never ends,
My
Friends

Gramps Grig had a pig
In a field of clover.
Piggy died,
Gramps cried,
All the fun was over.

Friends:)

Sometimes then and there we all need a friend.

Friends put us together and help us when we are sad.

When we have a stain on our shirt that makes us go berzerk

our friends are there to wash it away.

Sometimes you get mad but never feel sad around a friend.

A friend is the definition of awesome.

If you need to cheer up you know what to do,

go to your friend and do a cookadoododo.

A real true friend will never leave you through ups and down,

they will stay with you to get over it.

You start to feel down if your friends out of town.

You love your friends for always and forever.

Just remember a friend is there to guide you.

He’s for me, not for you…
