On a nice summer’s eve,
he said LEAVE.
As soon I arrived
I was deprived,
of sleep.

Spaghetti
Spaghetti
Spaghetti
You are wonderful stuff, spaghetti
I can’t get enough
Of that wriggly, squiggly stuff
Oh spaghetti
Spaghetti
Spaghetti

Summer

In summer I like to run
I like to run in the sun
In summer I play in the band
I play in the band with my hand
In summer I see a bug
The bug is on my rug.

Waiting is so boring
I hate waiting
Waiting here
When I hear
The rain pouring

I Was Born in the Sun

by Anapayini Nadkarni aged 8

This poem might not fit,
And it might be weird a bit,
I was born in the sun!
Wasn’t that really fun?

In school children used to talk about my skin,
Some said I’m thin,
I had skin like the sun!
My female friend said,
“That sounds like fun!”

At home (not the sun),
My parent said my eyes looked like stars,
As my brother munched on a chocolate bar,
Through my window I saw a dome.

When death struck,
magic happened,
My body disappeared into thin air,
and went back to the sun.

I Love My Family

My brother plays with a torch,
while he sits on the porch,
My sister is silly,
we call her really.
I love my family.

I have a pet, the pet is a cat.
The cat has a name and is also sort of fat.
It’s name is Uno which I play on a game.
The game also has a well-known name.
The name is Roblox and I play it the most.
But I don’t actually know the name of the host.
The game is filled with some wolves on the hills
I want to play it more and more, ans my heart it fills.

Summer

In summer I like to run.
I think running is great fun.
I look at maps.
I also look for my caps.
In summer I play in the band.
I play in the band with my hand.
